All is well...
It’s 11:45 PM and all is well. *Knock on wood*
T came for a visit, spent Saturday till Monday evening here. It was great seeing him and he looks really good. R and T took off together to go on a mission to find steamers. It was great seeing R with an almost constant smile on his face. T brings out the kid in him and vice versa.
I won’t tell you how R drove my Saturn grocery go getter like a derby car. Reving the engine, burning rubber (who knew my car could do that) and smashing through grocery carts all to get to the store in time. T says many carts, R says one cart and he only pushed it slightly. One of many arguments between them. All of this and they didn’t make it in time. But they got the guy who was sweeping in the back to get them ten pounds of steamers. They came home and cooked them together arguing in their brotherly fashion the whole time. They both have pain issues so it was easy for them to set on the same pace while T was here.
I made corned beef and cabbage on Sunday along with fresh baked bread. They argued over who ate the bread first, should they have eaten it before I got home and who was going to tell on whom. Then they argued over who had more corned beef, who gets the first piece of corned beef and so on. R comes alive when T is around in a way that’s hard to explain but is wonderful to see. R is still recovering.
Kids are in bed, I’m off to dream land myself. Good night all, sweet dreams.
