Vacation time again..

I have a vacation coming again. With the way the past week plus has gone, quick excerpt from my Monday of this week: AUG. 4 My day in a nutshell. Ripped my uniform pants, Rob brought me shorts. Had a resident pee and shit on my sneakers I just got at TJ Maxx for $40. Not able to save them. Wouldn't have tried even if it were possible. Tossed them, had Rob bring me my other pair of new sneakers. Put shampoo in cup in my pocket, forgot cell phone was in there, another resident grabbed cup in pocket and squeezed, shampoo covered cell phone, uniform top and shorts I just put on. Cell phone wasn't working right at all. Then went in to stand up another resident so staff could wash his bottom, he coughed and sneezed numerous times covering my uniform top, my shorts and my new sneakers in phlegm. Used disinfecting wipes to clean it all off. Then went in to help serve residents lunch, shook raspberry vinaigrette dressing and was covered in it. During lunch I spilled some soda on the front of my uniform top and said that's the least of my worries. Came home and jumped in shower fully clothed. That was the best part of my day! You can clearly see why I need a vacation.

I plan to sleep in and not get peed or pooed on during my vacation. Who else is ready for vacation??

Maybe you should take advantage of vacation time to find a new line of work. Yuck! I know of no other person who deserves a vacation more than you. Go.

Monster Juice Spray pussifying our children?

Today someone posted a cute little story about a pharmacy that prescribes a Monster Spray to children that have monsters under their bed. They spray the spray before bedtime, under their bed and it makes all the monsters go away. A little six year old girl used it three times before she was sure all the monsters were gone. I find this story absolutely adorable. I think it's wonderful that this pharmacists does something so kind for small children with big imaginations. I think a little magic in this world is just what a lot of child need. The response from one woman totally had me stunned. She said it's crap like this that is pussifying our children. Really? Then she went on in another reply when asked what one has to do with the other to say her daughter was bullied and what are they going to make next, bully spray? Sometimes..

Sometimes the emotional pain becomes too much to bear. Sometimes the emotional pain feels like it's going to consume us. Sometimes the emotional pain is so overwhelming that we need a physical pain to release it before we lose ourselves and who we are in it. Not everyone can understand this, I get that. Not everyone can look at someone with scars that were self inflicted and say, I see your pain. Sometimes, we hide those scars under our jeans so no one will notice. It's not for attention, it's for release. Sometimes we dull the pain with alcohol, sometimes we dull the pain with drugs either prescription or illegal. Sometimes we smoke too much and talk to loud. But we find our release to keep us alive. We are survivors with our scars to prove it.
