I dyed my hair..
Why does your hair never come out the color on the box?? Is it a cruel twist of fate that says you are not happy with who you are so I shall make you really not happy. Okay fate probably doesn’t play a role at all. More than likely it’s just false advertising. They want you to think your hair will look like the beautiful model on the box. That cheerful smile, those gorgeous cheekbones. All you have to do is take home this $9 box of hair dye and all will be right in your world.
They are soooooooooo wrong on so many levels. You open the box up, you carefully read the directions, you toss on those adorable gloves and let the games begin. You have to mix everything together carefully so as to not explode. Exploding before becoming beautiful is never acceptable. Then once that is done you can begin the coloring of your hair. Then you wait 30 minutes and clean off a strand of hair to see how it’s coming along. You can leave it on for up to another 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes. In those 45 minutes you are transformed. Life as you know it will never be the same. You rinse the color out of your hair until the water runs clear. Then you put on the lovely conditioner and wait two minutes, then rinse that out as well. Then you towel dry your hair and peek in the mirror to see the amazing new you only to find Bozo the clown looking back at you. Actually Bozo’s hair was a more red color where as my hair is a lovely orange. I could have eliminated a lot of the steps and just tossed hydrogen peroxide in my hair and sat in the sun. It would have given me that lovely orange for quite a few dollars less and there’s no model on the front of their bottle mocking you with her beautiful coiffed hair.
